Ska-Man is a ‘Ninove’ idiom for a weirdo, a strange guy. The lyrics were written in the dialect of Ninove, birth town of singer Piet Maris, with references to that city and some local all-time classic sayings. Ska-Man is (what else could it be?) an uptempo ska song, which Piet developed from a ska project originating in his illicit Ninove 80s days, when his musical world was filled in by the Specials and Madness. With the trombone of Vincent Heirman guesting.
